Despite the exotic sounding name, Kokomo’s is an all-American restaurant that offers upscale steakhouse food without the stiff atmosphere of a fancy restaurant. Kokomo’s primarily serves steak and lobster dishes, but with a few new twists. The restaurant is bright and inviting with a bit of a tropical feel that comes with the territory of the Mirage. There are even some surrounding waterfalls and a tropical lagoon.

The service at Kokomo’s is exceptional; the wait staff focuses on making patrons feel comfortable. The restaurant encourages people to ask the prices on foods listed at market price. Unlike many upscale steakhouses, Kokomo’s does not try to intimidate. Some favorites at Kokomo’s are the lobster bisque which comes filled with large chunks of lobster meat and a delicate puff pastry delicately placed on top. Wasabi mashed potatoes are a house favorite. The Seabass and the Blackened Kansas City Ribeye with spicy rock shrimp are also very popular choices; with such large serving sizes all menu items are well worth the price.
