The check-in desk at Paris is so different from the rest of the hotel, that you may think that you’ve accidentally taken the concourse to Bally’s instead. As you enter the hotel from the main entrance near the Eiffel Tower, you are presented with a casino nestled right inside the center of the tower which is made to look exactly like any picture you’ve ever seen of a street in Paris. Little shops and cafes with outside bistro seating aline the cobblestone streets.
However, as you make your way to the check-in counter, you are transported back in time to 19th century Paris. The registration area will remind you of a Parisian Opera house. Glistening white ceilings seem to rise almost forever. Yet, this is not just for effect; it’s really to make room for the dozens of massive crystal chandeliers that hang from the ceiling. The walls are accented with gold trim and detailing. The employees at the registration desk stand in front of huge glass double doors. Although probably leading to no where besides an employees only area of the hotel, they hold with them a certain mystery and you can’t help but feel that you are about to experience a hotel that is classical and rich in tradition.
